L
aissez les bon temps rouler. Let the good times roll. The motto of a city that knows how to host a party. Now couple that with a historic relationship to Bourbon, world-renowned food, music and culture. The result – the first annual New Orleans
Bourbon Festival – March 24, 25, and 26!

Kicking off the New Orleans festival season 2017, the New Orleans Bourbon Festival’s mission is to provide our attendees with an opportunity to enjoy exceptional Bourbon and cuisine surrounded by the charm and culture of New Orleans. We will do this by inviting the finest Bourbon distilleries and restaurants, providing the most experienced and relevant speakers, highlighting a rapidly growing segment of the industry by presenting “Women in Bourbon” and recruiting event sponsors with missions similar to our own. The venue for the main event is The Sugar Mill, located in the historic Warehouse District of New Orleans. It will feature an outdoor marketplace of Bourbon-centric products in the attached courtyard, two grand tastings of Bourbon from the world’s finest distilleries, traditional New Orleans cuisine, and live classical jazz music in an early 20th century “speakeasy” setting. Central to this year’s event is our attention on “Women in Bourbon”, one of the fastest growing segments in the industry.

Our judging event, educational seminars, and Bourbon Awards Brunch will be hosted by one of our corporate partners, the Marriott-Convention Center. The Marriott-Convention Center will act as our Festival Headquarters and along with associated properties, will be the preferred lodging for festival revelers.

While not officially a not-for-profit entity; it is the mission of the New Orleans Bourbon Festival to give back to our community. We will do this by partnering with
St. Michael Special School
as our permanent charitable beneficiary. SMSS is an organization with meaning to our owners. One of our team members has a child
enrolled at the school and one had a dear friend who was a beloved coach at SMSS prior to his recent passing. Here is some information about St. Michael Special School. A minimum of 25% of the New Orleans Bourbon Festival net profits will be donated to the general fund of the school.

Enhancing the lives of those in our community that are most in need requires an unwavering commitment of time, effort, and compassion. St. Michael Special School has been providing educational and spiritual opportunities for students with developmental and learning disabilities in New Orleans for over 50 years.
